In July 2016 Dixie and I and Karen and Elaine flew to Comox, BC, rented a car, and drove to a rented house on Nanoose Bay for a week’s stay. We explored the beach, saw the sights in Nanaimo, went to see the big Douglas fir trees in what used to be called Cathedral Grove (now MacMillan Provincial Park), and saw part of the Parksville sand sculpture festival.
