On 27 August 2008, Dixie and I flew to Vancouver with Tom and Janet Greidanus and Harry and Etje Groenewold and boarded Holland America Line’s Ryndam for a week-long cruise to Alaska, something Harry wanted to do while he was still reasonably mobile (he died in February 2011). The ship made stops in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, and did a slow trip through Glacier Bay.
